Adult Ministries

Sunday School:  We place a high priority on further biblical training in our adult Sunday school classes.  Each quarter two or three classes are offered.  One class will focus on the book Salvation Belongs to our God. Another class will interact with the scripture passage or topic covered in the morning sermon (Acts 2:42).  A popular class for new comers (Believeing & Belonging) teaches those new to the church about  what Oak Lake Evangelical Free Church believes.

Small Groups: This is a vital ministry for Oak Lake because it provides time for individuals, couples and parents to learn what God says about their relationship with their Savior and share what they have in common with others who are doing the same. Groups regularly meet for Bible study, prayer and fellowship. Please contact the church (474-3344) for more information about the time and place each group meets.

Small Group Topics:  The Book of Revelation, From Christ to Creation, The Book of Matthew, I & II Peter, Heaven: It's Not the End of the World

 Men's Ministry: This ministry has a very high priority because we believe that it is a priority with God, as witnessed in the first two chapters of Genesis. The Elders of Oak Lake make the training of men for men's God-given roles a strategic part of shepherding the flock God has entrusted to the Elders' leadership (2 Timothy 2:1-13). This ministry to men includes personal discipling of men, a Friday morning Bible study, and a monthly Saturday morning Bible study and breakfast.

The Double Nickel: This is the core group for our church senior ministries (55+ years).  This group meets for various activities, which has brought them closer together in their love and respect for each other and for the ‘body’ which is Oak Lake Evangelical Free Church.
