Purpose and Covenant

As a church of Jesus Christ, we have adopted the following purpose and covenant in our constitution for the life, ministry and mission of our organization.

Our purpose as a church is:
* to give visible form and expression to that faith and manner of life to which Jesus Christ has called His followers as prescribed in the Holy Scriptures,
* to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ both in and beyond our community,
* and ultimately in all that we do, to bring glory to God. We seek to achieve this purpose through a balanced ministry emphasis of biblical truth and personal relationships.

As God's children by grace through faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ, we covenant together to live in a manner consistent with the 66 books of the Bible.

We agree:
* to support this local body of believers through regular attendance, faithful prayer, and gracious use of spiritual gifts, time, talents and material resources,
* to refrain from conformity to the values of this world system, in deference to the needs of others, and any and all practices which are unbecoming of followers of Jesus Christ,
* to pursue lives characterized by the love of Christ and the fruit of the Holy Spirit,
* and to strive for biblical integrity in personal conduct, marriage, family, church, the workplace and community.
